Pantone food

 

We all love food, the smell, the magical taste and never the less... the colour and visual art of it.

So, what the graphic designer and illustrator David Schwen did, was creating fantastical Pantone colour schemes, where each food is one Pantone chart. Funny, intelligent and simply clever way to make art.

About the project, he says: "As a designer, you're constantly picking color chips and pairing them up with one another. A while back I had an idea of making Pantone chips out of real household objects — sponges, cardboard, etc. But while I was finishing up a poster design, I had taped two Pantone chips together to see how they looked together. Instantly I thought of how people pair food together. And that was that. Pantone pairings." 

Interesting idea...So, maybe for next time, when making dinner party, make something original, make Pantone.
